North Lawrence - Sharon E. Hollenbeck, 66, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Alice Hyde Nursing Home in Malone, with the comfort and support of her family by her side. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Born in Waddington on October 8, 1944, Sharon is the daughter of the late James R. and Emma Flath Willard. She was a graduate of St. Lawrence Central School and was united in marriage to Jack Hollenbeck on August 1, 1964 at the Hopkinton Methodist Church. Through her illness, she never stopped believing in her inner strength and valued the love of her family. Sharon is survived by her husband, Jack; their children, Loren Hollenbeck of Hopkinton, Crystal and Michael Smith of Ft. Jackson and Melanie Kingston of North Lawrence; one sister, Donna Mills of Owego; two brothers, Walter Willard of Port Gibson and Howard Willard of Bristol, VA; her grandchildren, James Hollenbeck, Cheyenne Hollenbeck, Travis Hollenbeck, Noah Eakins and Arleigh Smith. One grandson, Gaige Smith and one brother, Jason Willard, predeceased her. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, March 14th at 12:00 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Burial will be in Southville Cemetery. Those wishing to express an act of kindness in lieu of flowers may make a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, Inc., 6805 US Hwy 11, Potsdam, NY 13676 or Tri Town Rescue Squad, P.
