NORTH LAWRENCE - Sharon L. Crump, 60, entered in rest Monday, March 14, 2011 in the comforts of her home with her family at her side under the care of Hospice of Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop.
Sharon was born June 9, 1950, the daughter of the late Edmond and Priscilla (LaBaff) St. Hilaire.
She was married to Walker R. Crump on April 15, 1967 at the St. Lawrence Church, North Lawrence. Sharon worked at Helena Head Start, Elliots and Tru-Stitch.
Sharon attended St. Lawrence Central School.
She was involved in a Saturday night mixed bowling league and the Lawrenceville Ladies Auxiliary. For many years she enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives. In Sharon's home, you were always welcomed. Family and friends were the focus of her life.
She is survived by her three children, Norma Mitchell of North Lawrence, Katherine and her husband Scott Sherwood of Massena, Dawn Snyder of Plattsburgh; and two others who she considered her daughters, Teddra and Charles Roberts of North Lawrence, and Kirstie and William LaVare of Nicholville.
She touched the lives of many grandchildren, Benjamin Mitchell, Carla Mitchell and Jesse Socia, Nicholas Snyder, Erika Snyder and Derrek Gale, Stephanie Sherwood, Kasey and Brooke Jones, Eyan, Zaine and Wyatte Roberts, Dustin Woods and Dawson LaVare and one great-grandson, Aden Andrew Gale..
Also surviving her are her siblings, Raymond and Marilyn St. Hilaire of Norfolk, Charles and Jeanette St. Hilaire of Winthrop and James and Mary Jane St. Hilaire of Frostproof, FL and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Walker R. Crump, his parents Lloyd and Beatrice Crump, a sister Linda Huff and a niece Crystal Judware.
Public visitation will be Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at the Hammill Funeral Home.
