St. Regis Falls- Rose M. O'Neil, 82, passed away, Thursday April 14, at the Adirondack Medical Center with the love and support of her family by her side. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home, St. Regis Falls. Rose was born on April 22, 1928 in Tupper Lake to the late Charles E. and Ida M. (Susice) Bishop. She attended St. Regis Falls Central School and on June 1, 1946 she married Rexford E. O'Neil in Santa Clara. Although Rose was a homemaker most her life, she enjoyed keeping busy. She cooked at the Adirondack camps, drove bus for the St. Regis Falls Adult Center, and worked as a teacher's aid at St. Regis Falls School. She is survived by her children; Rexford and Ann O'Neil of St. Regis Falls, and Patricia and Stephen Bory of St. Regis Falls, her grandchildren; Robin and Jeff Jennings of Fairport, NY, Ernest and Cindy Boyce of St. Regis Falls, Marie Fraser of Lancaster, CA, Steven O'Neil of Malone, Christine and Robert Rutherford of Lisbon, Mathew and Angie Susice of St. Regis Falls, and Lee Susice of St. Regis falls, 11 Great-Grandchildren, her siblings; Gloria Mosier of Henderson, NY, Violet Haynes of Pawtucket, RI, Linda Holmes of Malone, Charles A. Bishop of St. Regis Falls, and William Bishop of Athens, AL. She was predeceased by her husband Rexford in March of 1986 and her 3 sisters Elsie Bailey, Yvonne Nowicki, and Delores Dufore. Rose liked to relax with a good glass of wine and enjoyed playing bingo. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-8 at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am at St. Ann's Church with Fr. Fish officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson Center.
