Obituary of George T. Nelson

Nicholville - George T. Nelson, 69, passed away at his home, Thursday, May 12, 2011, surrounded with the love and support of his family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Mr. Nelson was born in the Town of Hempstead on August 26, 1941, son of the late George and Miriam Pearson Nelson. He served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps. His marriage to Anna Tierney, ended and he married Rosalva Amigon in April 2007. Mr. Nelson was a Butcher, working at C-Town in Brooklyn, retiring in 2010. After he retired, they moved to Nicholville. He is survived by his wife, Rosalva; four children, Michael and Susan Nelson of Long Island, colleen and Michael Villanova of Long Island, George Nelson of St. Regis Falls and Thomas Nelson of St. Regis Falls; one brother, Gary Nelson of Florida; Six Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Joyce, Denise and Sandy, predeceased him. There will be no calling hours.
