Manchester, CT / DeKalb Junction / Brasher Falls - Anna S. Hogan, 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at Canton Potsdam Hospital with her family by her bedside. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Anna was born on April 20, 1924 in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Julius and Bertha Gahr Schnitzke. She married Richard Henry Hogan, Jr. on July 4, 1957 in Hartford, CT, who passed away in 1999. For 45 years, Mrs. Hogan worked for Travelers Insurance in Hartford. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Donald and Cynthia Hogan of Brasher Falls; 3 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. One brother, Milton Schnitzke, predeceased her. There will be no calling hours; her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church in S. Windsor, CT. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in E. Windsor, CT.
