Bangor - Steven C. Parker, 61, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Steve was born on April 7, 1950 in Potsdam, son of the late Raymond and Frances Virginia Miller Parker. He married Christine Perry in 1977, which ended in 1989; Monica Champion for a short time and Norma E. Rushford in 1993, who predeceased him on November 16, 2011. Steve worked in the maintenance department at St. Lawrence University in Canton until he retired. He is survived by his sons, Steven Parker II of Corona, CA, Adam and Dylan; step-children, Trudi Burnor and Fred Dashnaw of Massena, Charity and Thomas Shoen of Norfolk and Joy and Chris Holden of Ft. Covington; three sisters, Martha, Genevieve and Rayanne; ½ brothers and sisters, Raymond Jr., Kenneth, Joanne, Tina, Beverly, Pamela, Marlene, Joan and Janet; step-sisters, Karen and Ginger; step-brothers, William and Ronald; step-mother, Letha Parker; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A step-brother, John Ashlaw, also predeceased him. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 - 7pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. At 7pm, Pastor Lee Sweeney will lead a Service of Remembrance for Steven. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.hammillfh.com.
