Brasher Falls - Sharon A. Jeffery, 65, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Canton Potsdam Hospital, with her family and Hospice giving her comfort. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Sharon was born on September 5, 1946 in Watertown, daughter of the late Kenneth and Ethel Gilbert MacComber. She graduated from Parishville Hopkinton High School and earned her Associates Degree from Mater Dei College. On July 31, 1999 in Winthrop, she married Carroll Jeffery, together they shared a life of love and adventure. She worked for the Head Start Program in St. Lawrence County, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Laurentian Chapter #666, Order of Eastern Star in Brasher Falls. Sharon loved the outdoors; whether snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, fishing, camping or bear hunting, you would always see her smile. She bowled for many years in Moira and there wasn't a type of game she didn't like to play. She is survived by her husband, Carroll "Hoss", three sons and daughters in law; Robert and Bobbi Hull of North Lawrence, James and Christie Hull of E. Wenatchee, WA, Bryan and Norine Hull of Winthrop, two step-daughters; Elizabeth Jeffery of Syracuse and Sarah LaShomb of Lawrenceville, brother and sister in law, Thomas and Joanne MacComber of Massena, sisters and brother in law, Patricia Duff of Oregon, Vicki and Gary Braunhard of Princeton, MA, 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. A service Celebrating Her Life will be Monday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Canton. Her family has requested; in lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, Inc., 6805 US Hwy 11, Potsdam, NY 13676.
