Brasher Falls - Aaron and Tanya Sochia mourn the loss of their daughter, Angel Katina Sochia, 6, who sadly received her wings on Friday, August 3, 2012, whose love will always be cherished and remembered. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Angel was born on January 11, 2006 in Massena, precious daughter of Aaron and Tanya (MacPherson) Sochia. She just graduated from Kindergarten into First Grade at St. Lawrence Central School. She loved her days in Kindergarten; learning and playing with her friends, who will miss her very much. She had an angelic and precious smile that was remembered by all she met. Like her father, she liked to build and loved riding in his Monte with him. Angel shared her mother's loving heart and was not shy to show affection. She looked up to her big sister, Abby, who loves her little sister so much. Angel was content playing with tiny toys, enjoyed furry animals and drawing. Angel is survived by her Mom and Dad, her sister, Abigail; grandparents, Gilbert and Calista Sochia of Hopkinton and Gary and Angie MacPherson of Norfolk; great grandmother, Shirley Sochia of Brasher Falls; aunts and uncles, Scott and Bonnie Sochia, Darrin and Katina Meacham, Shawn and Nicole Baldwin and Kyle and Amanda Merritt; her cousins, Calista and Danielle Sochia, Cody, Cole and Ty Meacham, Hunter, Sierra and Owen Baldwin and Kyle, Jaxson and Grayson Merritt. Her great grandmother, Betty Watson, predeceased her. Those wishing to pay respects to her family may do so on Tuesday at the Hammill Funeral Home from 12 to 2. The funeral service for Angel will be offered at 2 pm at the conclusion of visitation at the funeral home, by her great uncle, Rev Clifford Boice, Jr. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Brasher Falls. Due to allergies, flowers are gratefully declined. Memories and condolences can be shared with Angel's family at www.hammillfh.com.
