Brasher Falls - Anthony J. Paccione, 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home surrounded by the love and support of his family. Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Anthony was born on January 23, 1951 in New York City, son of Richard and Gay (Cortese) Paccione. He graduated from Nyack High School in Nyack, NY and proudly served in the U. S. Army. In 1981, he married Roberta Mott in Ridgewood, NJ. A carpenter by trade, he worked for John Romeo Construction for several years, then operated his own business.
Anthony enjoyed the outdoors; whether he was hard at work or hunting and fishing. Tony bowled and liked challenging games of cards, as this allowed him to fulfill his competitive spirit. His love of life was evident through his family; time spent together was cherished and he loved to create special meals to share.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta; his mother, Gay Paccione of Cardiff, CA; two sons, Adam Michael Paccione of Bozeman, MT and Eric Anthony Paccione of Greenville, SC; three brothers and sisters in law, Joseph and Mary Ann Paccione of West Haverstraw, Robert and Christine of Cardiff, CA and John and Linda Paccione of Encinitas, CA; nieces and nephews, Justine, Austin, John Jr., Noel Maria, Angela Brega and Kaitlyn Mott of Burke, VA. Always close to his heart were the memories of his father, Richard Paccione, and his twin brother, Richard Joseph Paccione who predeceased him.
His family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 27th from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 28th at 10 am St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls, with Rev. Garry Giroux celebrating.
