Dickinson Center - Cora Greguire, 95, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, with her family by her side. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Cora was born on January 22, 1917 in Dickinson, daughter of the late Homer and Amelia (Duquent) Dennis. She attended school in Dickinson and in 1934, married Frederick Greguire in Dickinson. Mr. Greguire passed away June 12, 1970. Cora fulfilled her role as a mother with her whole heart. Providing for her family; whether cooking, sewing or canning, she was the best at what she did. She felt at peace in her home and those who stopped by were always welcome. Going out for breakfast was something Cora looked forward to. She adored her children and grandchildren, whose love gave her incredible inner strength that, kept her going. Surviving Cora are her children, Earl Greguire of Malone, Fred Greguire of SC, Ann Ploof of Dickinson, Diane Greguire of NC, Brad Greguire of NC, Harlow Greguire of Dickinson and Craig Greguire of Dickinson; one sister, Ethel Russell of St. Regis Falls; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband, three children; Art Greguire, Mary Wells and Joan Smith, three brothers; Bill Dennis, Albert Dennis and Eddie Dennis, two sisters, Edna Pacquin and Anabel Shorette, predeceased her. There will be no calling hours, a graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 3 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson Center with Pastor Donald Work officiating.
