North Lawrence- Mrs. Linda A. (Murray) Folsom, 69, passed away on December 13, 2012 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love and support of her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Linda was born in Potsdam on November 20, 1943, daughter of the late George and Wilda (Dillabough) Murray. She was raised and educated locally, graduating from St. Lawrence Central. On November 22, 1963 she married Robert Folsom. Robert passed away on February 14, 2004.
For many years Linda worked as a cook. First, at the Wolfclan, then the Bauern Stub Restaurant, after that she worked for her brother at the Peppermill; which she later leased and ran herself, lastly working at the Highland Nursing Home.
Linda was an avid reader, and took pleasure in crossword puzzles and crocheting. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family, especially during the Holiday's when everyone was together.
She is survived by her children: Bobbi and Robert Hull of North Lawrence, and David Folsom of Massena, 7 grandchildren: Dennis Murray, Katie Russell, Kristopher Folsom, Brittany Thomas, and Evan, Allyssa, and Ayden Folsom, 3 great-grandchildren: Kadence Murray, and Isabella and Paul Bertocchi, her brothers: David Murray of Winthrop, and Mark Murray of Winthrop, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda was predeceased by her siblings: Gary Murray, Donald Murray, Martha Maples, and Marvin Murray.
In keeping with Linda's wishes there will be no public services. Her family will honor her with a Celebration of Life in the summer.
