Brasher Falls - Mark R. King, 56, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Mark was born in Potsdam, son of the late Curtis and Shirley (Russell) King. He attended St. Lawrence Central School and then entered the work force. He married the mother of his children, Cynthia Mason on May 19, 1979 at Victory Baptist Church in Winthrop. Mark worked for various companies; doing construction and was a skilled machinist. Along with his father, they operated New England Seafood in Potsdam, known for their fresh fish market and seafood restaurant. Mark loved to cook, enjoyed snowmobiling and 4-wheeling, camping and watching wrestling. He is survived by two children, Alyssa Marie King of Ogdensburg and Karen Leann Mast of LaMadera, NM; five grandchildren, Keely Smutz, Matthew King, Nathan King, Colin King and Kaya Mast; one brother, Jason King of Sarasota, FL and one sister, Sharon Uhlar of St. Petersburg, FL; aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
