Obituary of Steven E. Francis

Norwood -A Funeral Gathering for Steven E. Francis, 54, of Norwood, will be Monday evening at 6 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Friends may call at the Hammill Funeral Home, Monday from 4 until the service at 6. Mr. Francis passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning ( March 27, 2010) at Canton Potsdam Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; four children, Kelly Ciancanelli and her husband Paul of New Windsor, NY; Ethan Francis, Nicole Francis and Andrew Francis all of Norwood; his mother, Ann Francis of Massena; three brothers, Lawrence and Julianna Francis of Charles City, VA, Thomas and Tena Francis of Ft.Mohave, AZ, Terry Francis of Brasher and one sister, Suzanne Deshaies of Massena; two grandchildren, Gavin Alexio of New Windsor,NY and Gauge Francis-Warnock of Massena; one niece and two nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence. Steven was born on May 14, 1955 in Massena, son of Lawrence and Ann Pelkey Francis. He graduated from St. Lawrence Central School in 1973. He married Cathy Arquiette in 1974, which ended in divorce. On August 24, 1985, he married Cynthia Dow in Brasher Falls . Through the years, he worked at ALCOA in Massena, Kodak in Rochester and then started his own construction company, TA Construction.
