St. Regis Falls - Margaret Mary (Duffy) James, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday August 9, 2014 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, with her daughters at her bedside. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Mrs. James was born on July 28, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late John and Mary Gertrude (Hutton) Duffy. She married Theodore M. James on April 29, 1961, who predeceased her on April 3, 2011. She devoted her life to raising her family and providing a home filled with love. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Collins and Patricia Susice, both of St. Regis Falls and Margaret Thorp of OK; seven grandchildren, Ryan Lee, Shanara, Theodore, Daniel, Curtis, Neeltje, and Olliea; great grandchildren, Brandon, Selyna, Alliseya, Ashyn, Marissa and Xavier; one sister, Joan Phillips of Phila, PA; one brother, Michael Duffy of Phila, PA; her dear friend of 45 years, Katie Washelof Phila, PA; many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Theodore, she was predeceased by her son, Matthew; three sisters, Alice Bowers, Pat McFadden and Dolores Stasak and one brother, John "Jacky" Duffy.
