Potsdam - Clark A. Peck, 85, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 in the comfort of his home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Clark was born on January 7, 1929 in Hopkinton, son of the late Harrison C. and Bertha L. (Dewey) Peck. He entered the U. S. Army, serving in the European Theater during World War II. On February 15, 1947, he married Bernadine A. Fellows at the Methodist Parsonage in Potsdam. They have shared 67 years in a union blessed with love and devotion. Industrious by nature, Clark earned his position as Maintenance Supervisor at SUNY @ Potsdam. He retired on April 19, 1984. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and after he moved to Potsdam, he continued his cultivating skills with his flower garden. A man of strong character and integrity, Clark was a true gentleman. He had warmth and sincerity in his advice, with good common sense. He loved to visit, ready to share a joke and a smile. Clark was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed his time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife, Bernadine; their children, Roger and Judy Peck of Nicholville, Mark and Candy Peck of St. Regis Falls, Dana and Tabitha Peck of Potsdam, Dawn and Chris Taylor of Potsdam; son in law, Ronald O'Neil of Nicholville; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two children, Daniel Charles Peck and Darla Patrick; a granddaughter, Carey Martin; a great grandson, Brady Frazier; his siblings, Roland, Clinton, Deland, Harrison Jr., Lloyd, Dewey, Milo, Gloria and Mildred. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Clark's Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be at the funeral home at 11 am on Friday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson in the spring.
