Malone – Glencie P. LaVoy Kujawsky, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, February 2, 2015 at RiverLedge Health Care in Ogdensburg. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Glencie was born on March 12, 1924 in St. Regis Falls, daughter of the late Douglas and Lillian (Bray) Palmer and received her education in St. Regis Falls schools. She married Carl LaVoy on April 25, 1943 at St. Ann’s Church in St. Regis Falls who predeceased her in 1994. She married Alton Kujawsky, who also predeceased her. After raising her family as a homemaker; and having moved to Rochester in 1964, Glencie worked for Xerox and then retired from Kodak in Rochester, in Quality Control. Devoted to her faith; Glencie was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church and a member of the St. Ann’s Society. She was a communicant at Holy Cross Church while living in Rochester. In 2010 she returned to the north country and resided at RiverLedge Health Facility. In her leisure, she enjoyed the tranquility of reading a good book. She knew the value and importance of family; and will be remembered for her loving and spirited nature and warm embraces given to her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her family grow and was always available to help a child. She is survived by three daughters; Carla and Gerald Cahill of Malone, Glenda and Wayne Chesbrough of Ogdensburg and Paula LaVoy (Trim) of St. Regis Falls, one sister; Darlene and Roger Rockhill of Rochester and one brother; Douglas Palmer of Hamburg; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Carlton White and a sister-in-law, Virginia Palmer. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Glencie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 am at St. Ann’s Church. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery in the spring.
