Brasher Falls - George J. Baile, 64, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. George was born on February 19, 1951 in Massena, son of Joseph H. and Elizabeth (LaVare) Baile. He graduated from St. Lawrence Central and BOCES with a certification in small engine repair. On March 25, 1972 he married Catherine M. Suckie at the Norfolk Wesleyan Church. They have shared a 43 year union of mutual respect and love. George worked for John Deere and Sears where he was a repair technician. He owned his own small engine repair shop at home until his illness. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, two children, Darcielee Baile of Norwood and Stacylynn Stewart of Brasher Falls, his mother, Elizabeth Baile of Brasher Falls, one sister, Brenda Barney of Brasher Falls, one brother, Timothy Baile of Massena, grandchildren, Joshua Baile, Samantha Baile, Travis Stewart, Jedediah Dashnaw and John Dashnaw, one great granddaughter, Emmalyn Baile, several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his father, Joseph, three sisters, Mary Despaw, Jane Baile and Judy Baile. Following George's wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
