Malone - Anthony Michael "Antwan" Destefano, 19, passed away tragically on Sunday August 3, 2015 following an automobile accident. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Anthony was born on February 26, 1996 in Newburgh, son of Michael E. and Rosalind A. (Baker) Destefano. He received his education at St. Regis Falls Central School, where he acquired the friendship of many. Anthony was a unique person with a special personality that his friendships made were for life. He enjoyed playing basketball, gaming, riding his bike, hiking the Adirondacks and socializing at the gazebo. He knew life's up's and down's, but always kept a loving heart for his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his great smile. Surviving Anthony are his parents, Michael and Rosalind of Malone, two brothers, Michael E. Destefano, III of Constable and Joseph A. Destefano of Malone, maternal grandparents, Betty and Melvin Thwaits, Jr. of Lake Clear and Dickinson, paternal grandmother, Esther M. Destefano of Naples, FL, two nephews, Logan and Jacoby and one niece, Mya, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's memory can be made to St. Regis Falls Ambulance, Inc. Memories and condolence can be shared with his family at www.hammillfh.com.
