Sorry to hear this morning that Gordie passed away on Saturday. Thinking back to when we were growing up, we had some great times and some close calls when siblings would 'tell'. He is now reunited with Vint and Marion and am sure, catching them up on everything.

I always referred to him as Mr. Snell a true gentlemen and genuine nice guy. Gordon was a man of his word and believed in the people of St. Lawrence county. Mr. Snell will be sorely missed, RIP Gordon.

Vince and Marion Snell had a farm directly across the road from where i grew up. The "Snell kids" Gordy,Gerry Sandie,Jimmy,and Pauly were the first neighborhood kids i remember as a little kid,we were always back and forth across the road playing. We certainly picked many a blackberries in their pastures. I have not seen Gordy in many years but i do remember what a great guy he was. I know he will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this dificult time.

Gordie was the best! I remember sharing a beer(s) with him on my front porch 30+ years ago. I had asked him to take a look at a problem with the porch and he explained to me what was done wrong by the gentleman who did the concrete part of the porch. Then, to my surprise, he frankly stated that the job was too small and he was too busy to take it on at that time. I was profoundly impressed by his honesty, and , by the way, his criticisms were totally correct and I eventually (15+ years later) decided to just cover up the "gentleman's" mistakes and enclose the porch. There were many other times Annie and I visited with Gordie and Linda at the Bucket, the Timber and Elroy's, all of which are fond memories. Gordie, may the perpetual light shine on you & and may you rest in peace. Rusty

I am sorry I was unable to make it to the services. I was hospitalized so unable to go. Gordie meant a lot to me and did a lot for me when I lost Art. He will be sadly missed by all those who's lives he touched. Know that I am thinking of you now and always. Love, Joan
