Gordie was the best!
I remember sharing a beer(s) with him on my front porch 30+ years ago. I had asked him to take a look at a problem with the porch and he explained to me what was done wrong by the gentleman who did the concrete part of the porch. Then, to my surprise, he frankly stated that the job was too small and he was too busy to take it on at that time. I was profoundly impressed by his honesty, and , by the way, his criticisms were totally correct and I eventually (15+ years later) decided to just cover up the "gentleman's" mistakes and enclose the porch.
There were many other times Annie and I visited with Gordie and Linda at the Bucket, the Timber and Elroy's, all of which are fond memories.
Gordie, may the perpetual light shine on you & and may you rest in peace.
