Brookdale- Mrs. Jeannine A. (Morgan) Lynch, 82 passed away on Friday September 30, 2016 at the CVPH in Plattsburg surrounded by the love and support of her family. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Jean was born on November 7, 1933 in Syracuse to the late Ralph and Edith (Ward) Morgan. She attended schools in Norwood and Massena. After graduating in 1950 Jean started work at the 1st National Bank in Massena. She married Leo Lynch on August 28, 1954 at the Sacred Heart Church in Massena. They bought their home in Brookdale and started their family. In her earlier years she worked for the Board of Elections and the Census. Since 1992 Jean volunteered at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Jean was a member of St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls. Her favorite activities were playing rummy, line dancing, jumble and jigsaw puzzles. Jean's prominent qualities included her sense of humor, passion for life, and love towards family and faith. Jean is survived by her children: Nancy Lynch of Norwood, Michael and Debra Lynch of West Port, Pat and Sara Lynch of Brookdale, Constance Pike and Doug Belt of Winthrop, Mary Jane and Bruce Wilkins of Peru, Maureen and Michael Bradish of West Chazy, and Dennis Lynch of Webster, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings: Reta Ryder, Charles Morgan, Ralph Morgan Jr., Ruth Dumont, Charlotte Posewitz, and a son-in-law Allen Pike. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8 at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Jean's Funeral Service and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:00 noon at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery on Saturday October 15th at 12:00 noon.
