I enjoyed working with Rita at Clarkson. We had many discussions about her family and I would call her a spoiled brat being the baby. She would give me the biggest grin and say "I know I am a spoiled brat and proud of it". she really did love her family. Iknow you will miss her as I will. She was a good friend.

WOW!!! I grew up with "Rockin Rita". I will certainly miss you. Edna, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how close the two of you were. Rob, Rita loved you as if she had carried you for nine months and given birth to you. Rita, well now you have quite a chore ahead of you, watch over loved ones, and teach the angels to sing PEANUT BUTTER. Thanks for being wonderful.

I had so much fun all those years with Rita playing, well we all know what she was playing), but let's not forget Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, one of my favorites. She told me once that every single time she got up to play, she felt challenged by how long it would take her to get people on the dance floor. An empty dance floor was not acceptable to Rita. She knew things were good when the floor was full with the first song. Can she ever know how much happiness she contributed to for so many people? Rock on Rita.

She had the voice of an angel with a little devil mixed in. I have many fond memories of her at the Mar Mac in Saranac Lake.

I haven't seen Rita in many, many years. She used to play at the Mar Mac in Saranac Lake and my husband & I used to dance to her music. Those were the good old days. My favorite song that she did was "Cotton Fields". Recently, I was wondering what had become of her and decided to get Cotton Fields from I-Tunes. Everytime I play it, I think of her. She will always be "Rockin Rita". May she rest in peace.

I remember Rita from her musical talents. My friends and I grew up listening to her play. My parents hired her band to play Ayer's Tavern in North Lawrence in the 60's and I was allowed to go downstairs to listen to her band and she would sit with us afterwards and her sense of humor and her laugh would make us laugh. Rest in peace.
