Obituary of Debra Cook

Norwood – Debra L. Cook, 65, of Baldwin Acres, passed away at her home. Her family honored her life privately. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. On February 14, 1955, Debra was born in the hamlet of Bay Shore, in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County,NY, daughter of the late William A. and Dolores R. (McGregor) Liekweg. Debra held positions at Seaway Abstract Corp. and Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. As a mother and grandmother, she was happy spend time with family and share special occasions. She nurtured her dogs, loved springtime, shopping and would relax doing cross stitch. In her younger years, Debra enjoyed horseback riding, surfing and traveling. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Clifford Phippen of Potsdam, her two grandchildren; grandson, Tristen Phippen and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Phippen. One brother, Robert Liekweg, predeceased her.
