Obituary of David F. Austin

St. Regis Falls – David F. Austin, 69, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 22nd at 1 pm at Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls with Military Honors. David was born in Malone on December 25, 1951, son of Raymond L. and Frances L. (Crewdson) Austin. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1971 to 1975. He was a Correctional Officer at Franklin Correctional Facility in Malone, retiring after 32 years. He is survived by his mother, Frances of St. Regis Falls, two sons; Matthew of St. Regis Falls and Heath of Lake Placid, two brothers; Raymond Austin, Jr and Michael Austin, both of St. Regis Falls and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond on July 27, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s honor can be made to the St. Regis Falls Adult Center or St. Regis Falls Rescue.
