I just now found out that Jan passed away… Sending my deepest condolences to family… I met Jan when I worked at the library .. She was a very special lady full of life.. We had many great conversation and lots of laughs… She was alway bringing me in treats at the holidays… My life was definitely richer having met her. Sending prayers that your memories and the knowledge that you will see her one day again, will help to lessen your sadness.

Your mother and I attended the Massena Business School together. I remember her as being very kind and so pretty. There were four of us who graduated together in January of 1970. I remember she wore a pretty red dress. I have a photo somewhere. We saw each other once in awhile through the years. My sincere sympathy to your family. Katherine (Sheehan) Casey, Potsdam.

We are so great full to have known your beautiful mom.Her energy was amazing and a heart of gold.Thank you for the time I’ve had with her towards the end of her life, I truly enjoyed it wish it could have been longer I will miss her dearly.John and I both loved and respected your mom and dad Cherie and Ron we will always hold a special place in our hearts for both of them.

Cheri and family, Words cannot express the sorrow and sadness we feel at the loss of your Mom, Janice. Please accept our condolences and know that we are thinking of you and your family. The Hourihan family will never forget all the wonderful memories we had hanging out at the Nursing Home while our Mom was working. Your mom used to come into the conference room there and check up on us and made us feel welcome. She would even let us go outside and roll down the hill by the big cement wall. We also had the best memories coming to your farm and seeing the horses. Those are memories of your Mom and your Dad that we will all carry with us forever. Your Mom was and always will be such a beautiful person. We hope our Mom and Janice are having a good time together catching up on all the stories they have missed. My sincere condolences to the family of Janice. I knew Janice from her many trips to the Massena Public Library over many years. She was always very pleasant and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. Wherever I came across Janice in the grocery store or elsewhere it always led to a friendly hello and a relaxing conversation. When I worked at SUNY Potsdam long before I met Janice I knew Tom.. Such a friendly and pleasant boy, just like his mother. So sorry for the entire family of Janice Hagelund for the loss of the woman they obviously loved and will miss greatly. R.I.P. Janice.
