Please share a memory of Lorna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mrs. Lorna J. Leggue, 81, of Massena passed away on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, with her loving family at her side. Lorna was born to Wilfred Monica and Rose McGregor on November 18th, 1940, in Norwood. She then graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School, and went on to marry Francis I. Leggue on June 29th, 1980. Lorna was an excellent saleswoman, and spent many years as a consultant for various companies, mainly Friendly Home Toy Parties Inc. Never one to sit at home, she was quite the roadrunner, and always on the go. Family History was important to Lorna, and she became passionate about her heritage. She enjoyed playing cards, especially her favorites; canasta and railroad. Lorna is survived by her children; Kim Olson of Brasher Falls, Debbie (Tim) Votra of Nicholville, and Jeffery Olson of Massena; her cherished grandchildren; Karli Olson and Kyle Dissottle, Dawn Ashlaw, Jeremy Olson, Samantha Ryan, and Kaitlin Ryan; her two great-granddaughters; Alizah and Logan Dissottle, as well as a sister; Audrey Bushey of Norwood. Besides her parents, a son, Joel Olson; her brother’s, Lyle, Calvin, Joseph, Eugene, and sister’s; Gloria, Elaine, Theresa, Lenore Kozak, Marjorie Wagstaff, and Laura Casselman predecease her. There will be no services at this time, however, a Graveside Memorial will be held in the Spring at Mound Hill Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Francis, who passed on September 19th, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley Inc. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop where words of comfort and condolences can be shared online with Lorna’s family at www.hammillfh.com.
