Obituary of John F. Walker
St Regis. Falls-
John F. Walker, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022 doing what he enjoyed - working in the woods.
John was born on April 13th, 1960 to Herbert F. and Donne M. (Fye) Walker in Malone. He graduated from Saint Regis Falls High School in 1978. On August 29th, 1991 he married Pamela Goldsworth.
Prior to his recent retirement, John worked for the highway department as a machine equipment operator in the town of Waverly for over 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing in his free time. A devoted family man, John believed above all that family was everything. A true friend to all, he was always willing to help anyone in need. John touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on in all who knew him.
Mr. Walker is survived by his loving wife of 30 years; Pamela Walker, his mother; Donne M. Fye, his mother-in-law; Neddie Goldsworth, his children; Morgan (Brandon) Dufrane and Samuel (Jordan Doe) Walker, his grandchildren; Harper Jean and Jaxson John Dufrane, his sister; Jean (Daniel) Brockway, as well as nephews and niece; Travis, Zachary, Erik, and Mikayla Brockway and their families. John’s father, Herbert F. Walker, and father-in-law, Gerald Goldsworth, predeceased him. A brother, Brian, predeceased him in infancy.
Following John’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Donations can be made to the St. Regis Falls Free Methodist Church, 1491 State Route 458 St. Regis Falls NY 12980, in his memory.
