Obituary of Timmy A. Wheeler

St. Regis Falls – Mr. Timmy A. Wheeler, 59, unexpectedly passed away on Friday September 16, 2022, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester with his family by his side.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, where calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday September 22 at 12:00 Noon at Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson, with a luncheon to follow at Sportsmen's Club in St. Regis Falls.

Tim was born in Malone on July 19, 1963, to Malcom and Leona (Lucey) Wheeler. He graduated from St. Regis Falls High School and on August 26, 1989, he married his confidant for life, Lisa Richards. In 2005 Tim started Dexter Drywall & Painting with his best friend, Brett Jenkins and was so proud of the clientele he established. 

A charismatic passionate being who had a true love for his family, the woods, hunting, 4 wheeling, and snowmobiling. He was always up for a trip to the casino for pushing buttons, his ultimate pride and joy was any time spent at camp, and Tim’s grandchildren were easily the light of his life.

He loved anything John Deere, the Buffalo Bills, and NY Yankees.

Tim was a member of the Alexander McDonald Fish & Game Club, Standing Tall Hunting Club and the SRF Sportsmen's Club.

He will be greatly missed by his family; wife of 33 years, Lisa; son, Jake Wheeler and his wife Jessica, son Timmy Wheeler and his wife Kaitlyn, and daughter Leah Wheeler; 4 grandchildren, Rowan, Harlow, Myles, and Brooks; parents Malcolm and Leona Wheeler; brother Mack Wheeler and Tracy Wilson, brother Randy Wheeler and Missy Fraser, sister Tammy Marsh and her husband Brian; Uncles Danny (Marcy) Lucey and Dick (Lorna) Lucey; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
