Rita was a talker, and I loved to listen to her stories and receive her gifts of wisdom for me. I have vague memories of her at the farm, but many in North Lawrence. I couldn't wait for summer to come so we could go up to visit Aunt Helen, Uncle Hubert, and Rita who was home on vacation. She had a heart of gold, and a wonderful sense of humor. Her love of God and her devotion to the Church helped me with my own faith journey. My husband, Joe, and I looked forward to phone conversations with her, and toward our visits at her home in Canton. Rita was a joy and we will greatly miss her. I am certain that she is resting in peace, in the arms of our Savior.
