Obituary of Margaret S. Haskell

Margaret S. Haskell, 86, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on June 26, 1936 in North Lawrence, to the late Austin and Blanche (Warriner) Gardner.
Margaret was a part of the first ST. Lawrence Central graduating class, and went on to work as a Bus Driver for SLC, and Brasher Falls Central for over 40 years. She married James J. Haskell on September 1, 1957, and the two worked hard to provide for their family. James passed away in 1982.
Margaret enjoyed driving her school bus. That school bus took her to many destinations during her career. She transported three generations of children to school and activities, which she loved.
Besides her parents, Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband, James; her sisters; Rosetta St. Hilaire and Betty McLaughlin, and her brother; Joseph Gardner.
She is survived by her daughters; Diane & Steve Barsky of Bonita Springs, FL, Ann & Bernard Chambers of Winthrop, and Barbara (Yandoh) Haskell of Brasher Falls; her grandchildren; Brandon Barsky, Justin Barsky, Brian & Miriam Chambers, Kristen & Brandon Szabo, and David Yandoh Jr., as well as her 8 great-grandchildren; Eliana, Laila, Silas, Rayna, Ezra, Colin, Alec and Parker.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson Center. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop where memories and words of comfort can be shared at www.hammillfh.com.
