I’m so sorry I never got to meet you in person, but I loved that you kept in touch. You were amazing to keep up on Facebook and through texts and it was so special that you sent the handmade crib that you constructed for Michael, which our kids enjoyed and we still have. You will always be missed and loved. What amazing things you accomplished in life! You are a true inspiration!

Mrs. Carr and family, So sorry to hear about your loss . We always enjoyed our fall visits to the orchard . Ed always educated us on the current state of the orchard . I was floored when we drove by and saw what had been done to the orchard after weather had ruined it .I always had good visits with him and asked both your son and daughter how the orchard was and we always visited about their dad !!

Dear Margaret, I was so terribly saddened to see your wonderful husband had passed away. I loved coming to your orchard with my many classrooms of kiddos. Your husband always brought a smile to everyone he touched with his kindness and patient explanation on how he grew his apple trees. Mrs. Carr~ I am sorry to hear of your loss. I remember visiting the house when you and Mr Carr were rebuilding stone walls, finding glass bottles and other items that we thought might be very old. It may be where I first got my enthusiasm for history and objects d'art. This may have been the night you took me to see your son in Tom Jones, the play. You knew even then that I had a penchant for the theater. Did you know that I played Miss Western myself in high school? We bear our losses while holding on to memories. Please know that I still think fondly of our time together in 6th grade, 1967! Margaret Lambert (Peggy)

The memories from our visits to the orchard, for myself, my kids and friends will always stay embedded in our minds. He was such a source of knowledge for anything tree related, and I loved that.
