Obituary of Nancy R. Lalonde

Massena - A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Nancy R. Lalonde , 78. of Massena and Pinellas Park, FL, will be Saturday morning, May 15th at 11 am at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls. Her family will receive friends at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, Friday, May 14th from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Brasher Falls. Mrs. Lalonde passed away on March 21st 2010 at the Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL. Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Lalonde; two daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy and Ross Driscoll of Massena and Karen and Thomas Kuhn of Hillsborough, NC; three grandchildren, Ryan DeCarlo, Ross Driscoll, Jr., and Christopher Kuhn; one sister-in-law, Helen Morey of Satellite Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, F. Kirk Morey. Nancy was born on April 16th, 1931 in Georgetown, NY, daughter of the late Rev. Frank and Sarah Kirk Morey. She graduated from Brasher- Stockholm High School in 1948. On September 22nd, 1953 she married Robert R. Lalonde in Greensboro, NC. At one time she was employed at St. Lawrence Central School for several years. She enjoyed her employment, participating in school plays, being a High School Cheerleading Coach and watching her grandchildren participating in various sports. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, AmVets, Post 4 in Massena and at one time the President of the Marine Officers Wives Club in Norfolk, Va. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Massena and a parish of the same name in Pinellas Park, FL.
