Brasher Falls – Elizabeth M. Sharlow, 91, passed away peacefully, March 24, 2014, at the Alice Hyde Nursing Home in Malone, with her loving family by her side. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Elizabeth was born on October 8, 1922 in Rooseveltown (Niando), daughter of the late Fred and Charlotte (Rouselle) Amo. She attended Sacred Heart School and went on to graduate from Massena High School. On February 9, 1944, she married Raymond C. Sharlow at Sacred Heart Church in Massena. Together they operated Sharlow’s Store in Brasher Center from 1952- 1962. Mr. Sharlow passed away May 25, 1984. Mrs. Sharlow was a communicant of St. Patrick Church; where she taught Catechism for many years and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by one daughter, Estina Bronchetti of Brasher Falls; three granddaughters, Lori Bronchetti of Potsdam, Lisa Bronchetti &partner Desaray York of Cape Coral, FL and Lenore Bradley husband Richard Bradley of Norfolk, NY; five great grandchildren, Crystal and Steven Ramos of Cape Coral ,FL Roxanna &Elizabeth McGregor Darcy Bronchetti all of Nofolk, NY. Two Great Great Grand daughters of Norfolk Isabella McGregor &Addyson Baxter; Several nieces &nephews. One brother, Leo and three sisters, Margaret, Edna and Dorothy, predeceased her. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Elizabeth’s Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 am at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls with Rev. Garry Giroux celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
