Obituary of Donald G. Lyng

Dickinson Center-Mr. Donald G. Lyng Jr., 65, passed away Tuesday July 8, 2014 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone with his family by side. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Don was born in Corinth on September 20, 1948, to the late Donald G. Lyng Sr. and Patricia Been. He attended Corinth High School. For many years Don ran his own business, DLS Sales in St. Regis Falls with his companion Lesa and his daughter Shannara. He also did carpentry, road construction and farm work. He was avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed 4-wheeling and spending time with friends. Don is survived by his companion of many years, Lesa Caskinette of St. Regis Falls, his children: Shannara Lyng of St. Regis Falls, Minnie Bruso of Constable, Theresa Snyder of Brushton, Marion Snyder of St. Regis Falls, Roger “Doger” Daniel Harrington of Malone, grandchildren: Alex Bruso, Derrick Bruso, Michael McDonald, Caden McDonald, Viola Snyder, and Jayona Mitchell, 4 brothers: Charles M. Johnson of St. Regis Falls, Michael Lyng of Saratoga Springs, J.W. and Margie Williams of Ft. Covington, and Daniel Drew of St. Regis Falls, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by, his sister Cheryl Williams and friend Sara McFarland. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-3 at the funeral home.
