St. Regis Falls - Mrs. Anita E. Susice, 83, passed away peacefully at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Anita was born on March 1, 1931 in St. Regis Falls, daughter of the late William and Blanche (Page) Conley. After she graduated from St. Regis Falls High School, she went to work as a secretary for Dorn's Transportation in Albany, then Cobel's Insurance in Potsdam and lastly St. Regis Falls Central School. In September 1958, she married Raymond A. Susice at St. Ann's Church in St. Regis Falls, with whom she shared a loving union of 56 years. Anita was dedicated to her community; she played in the Waverly Town Band, is a member of the St. Regis Falls Fire Department, Ladies Auxilary, is a member of the Eastern Star, and is a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served as a Trustee. For recreation, Anita she loved spending time at camp with her family, boat rides, shopping, watching her favorite soap-Days of Our Lives, and summer trips to Cape Cod. Kindness and goodness were notable traits that those who knew her will remember. She had her children's best interests in her heart and the blessing of grandchildren gave her a new generation to share her love and wisdom. Anita is survived by her husband, Raymond, their children, Richard Scott Susice and his companion, Norma Vincent of St. Regis Falls, Sonya m. and Gar Smith of Nicholville and Michael R. Susice and his fiancée, Christy Warriner of St. Regis Falls, and four grandchildren; Kevin Smith, Jordan Smith, Ryan Susice and Anthony Susice. Forever in her heart is the memory of her son Kevin who passed away in 1982, one brother, Earl Conley and one sister, Vaughn McLaughlin. Visitation will be Thursday at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Anita's funeral service will be Friday at 12 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in St. Regis Falls. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in St. Regis Falls.
