Massena – Lindalee “Lee” Puccia, 67, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Lindalee was born on October 7, 1947 in Leominster, MA, daughter of the late Vernon and Pauline (Byron) Gelinas. She graduated from Leominster High School and also from Barner College in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. On January 29, 1967, Lindalee married Salvatore P. “Sunny” Puccia at our Lady of Guadalupe Church in New York City. Together they started the flower shop Pots Plus in 1978 and then bought Flowers by Josef in Lawrence and Methuen, MA. Lindalee was a pioneer in flower designs becoming a top designer for Teleflora. She moved to Ft. Lauderdale and went to work at Holy Cross Hospital as a telemetry technician. Sunny passed away on December 17, 1992, after their union of 25 years filled with life, love and hard work. Living in Massena for the past two years, Lindalee has made some close friends, who gave her life purpose. She treated her children in her own special way; with love, laughter, treasured memories and wisdom. Lindalee is survived by her children; Phillip Puccia of Laconia, NH, Shilo and her wife, Cynthia Whippia of North Lawrence and Chloe Puccia of Tianjin, China, three grandchildren; Koddie Demers, Kassie-Mae Demers and Darrin Demers, Jr., one brother, Dean Gelinas of Lunenberg, MA, as well as his children, Laura and Christine and one sister, Diane Little of Ashby, MA, her cousin Darlene Hanks of VT and her faithful companions, Toulouse and Ebony. A Memorial Service for Lindalee will be Friday at 6 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop with Rev. Garry Giroux officiating.
