Brushton - Mrs. Lucille S. LaClair, 78, peacefully passed away at her daughter's home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Lucille was born on June 30, 1936 in Ellenburg, daughter of the late Anian and Glorivina (Nichols) LaBombard. She graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School in Ellenburg. On September 27, 1958, she married Donald LaClair, sharing 16 years of a blessed union until his passing on September 3, 1975. Faith in God and faith in family took precedent in Lucille's life. For 15 dedicated years, she worked as a dietary aid at the Franklin County Nursing Home. She was a devote communicant of St. Augustine's Church in North Bangor. She is survived by her children: Rosemary and John Decker of Chateaugay, Stephen LaClair, Brian LaClair, both of Plattsburgh, Linda White of Swanzey, NH, Donald and Naomi LaClair of Homosassa, FL, Phyllis and Van Patterson of Constable, and Darlene and Jeff Cole of North Lawrence, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters: Mae LaBombard of Champlain and Marguerite Colgan of Ellenburg, sisters-in-law: Audrey LaBombard and Thelma LaBombard, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husband Lucille was predeceased by 3 children in infancy: Kathleen, Kevin, and Kimberly, her son-in-law, Michael White, her brothers: Austin, Richard, Leo, and Paul LaBombard, and her sister, Marion Trombley. Visitation will be Friday from 10 am to noon at the funeral home. Lucille's funeral service and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1 pm at St. Augustine's Church in North Bangor. Burial will follow at St. Edmunds Cemetery in Ellenburg. For those wishing to express an act of kindness, memorial contributions may be made in Lucille's honor to: Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, Inc. or the American Cancer Society.
