St. Regis Falls – Dale M. Sexton, 57, passed away unexpectedly at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Dale was born on May 25, 1958 in Potsdam, son of the late Arthur H. and Gloria J. (Siltz) Sexton. He graduated from St. Regis Falls Central School in 1976 and met his soul mate, Patricia J. Godreau, sharing a loving union for over 38 years. Dale worked on bridge construction for Harrison and Burrowes Bridge Company for over 20 years and then went to work for 21st Century Construction. In his leisure time; he enjoyed woodworking, golfing with Brad Marsh, and hunting with family and friends. His greatest pleasure was the time he shared with his grandchildren and loved to hear them call him “Pappa”. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Godreau-Sexton, his son, Brett Sexton and his companion, Kari LaGrave of Massena, two grandchildren, Arianna and Rory, three brothers, Douglas Sexton and Dana and Sandra Sexton of Sturbridge, MA and Daryl Sexton of Anchorage, AK, two sisters, Dawn and Michael LaBounty of St. Regis Falls and Darla and Robert Conyea of Norwood, his faithful companions, Penny, Goldie and Max, and many nieces and nephews. Always close to his heart was the memory of his brother, David who died in 1982 and his parents. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls with Dale’s funeral service and life celebration at the funeral home on Friday at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery in St. Regis Falls followed by a luncheon at the St. Regis Falls Sportsmen’s Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in his memory to the St. Regis Falls Fire Department or Rescue Squad. Memories and condolences can be shared with his family at www.hammillfh.com.
