I was sorry to hear of Aunt Marie's passing. We had kept in touch through Christmas card exchanges over the years. I recall her as, most of all, loving - but also as having that Irish temper and stubborn streak Both qualities that stead her well when she married into the Searles family and no doubt played a part in her defying the doctors' prognosis. Most sustaining, however, was her love for you and your love and support of her.
I know she had been ill for some time and am sure she was ready to move on to the next stage of her life. Nevertheless, it is difficult to see your family dwindle, as we have all experienced. And for this, you all have my care and prayers.

May Marie's family and friends be comforted by God's promise to "swallow up death forever, and wipe away every tear from all faces," (Isaiah 25:8) Remembering too the promise of the resurrection hope for both the Unrighteous and Righteous.(Acts 24:15)

Donna,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of your Mom - she made us laugh a lot! I can still hear her saying your name with her accent, "Donna Marie!" She tried to sound serious but we couldn't keep a straight face. I hope your memories of her comfort you and your family. I'll be thinking of you and praying for all of you.
Marcy
