Obituary of Lucille M. Tessier
Brasher Falls- Mrs. Lucille M. Tessier, 91, passed away at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Lucille was born in Malone on October 13, 2016 to the late Paul and Bernadette (Revette) Noreau. She was raised and educated locally attending Massena High School. She married John Paul Tessier on October 24, 1942 at St. Mary's Church in Massena. They raised their family together, sharing in a blessed union with a mutual respect and care for one another. John passed away on January 2, 1980.
After John's passing, Lucille earned her GED and then obtained her drivers license. She then began work at Jamesway in Massena, where she enjoyed visiting with the customers and building lasting relationships and memories with her co-workers; retiring after 13 years.
Those who knew and loved Lucille will always remember her sense of humor and how much she loved life; embracing each day with a smile and a positive attitude, never knowing what adventure that day might bring. She was a true caregiver to her entire family and always was concerned for the well being of others.
Lucille loved to travel, was an avid reader, enjoyed the challenge of crossword puzzles, and loved to tell a good joke; especially at holiday time when everyone was together.
