Winthrop - Eloise M. Compeau, 79 passed away May 31, 2016. Following her wishes; there will no calling hours or services. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Eloise was born on June 24, 1936 in Owls Head, NY, daughter of the late David and Leona Degon Malley. She graduated from Massena High School in 1953. On September 18, 1954, she married William G. Compeau and was blessed with two sons, who adored her to her last day. Eloise is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Keith and Kris; her daughter-in-law Sue; five grandchildren, Sadie Badgett, Lexie Brown, Cody Compeau, Zach Compeau and Cassie Compeau; two great grandchildren, Kenzie Badgett and Violet Brown; five siblings, Marilyn Roshea, Michael Malley, John Malley, Sally LaShomb, and Kathy DeWitt; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Janet George and three brothers, Richard Malley, Patrick Malley and James Malley. Eloise was an excellent seamstress and crocheter who enjoyed sewing and crocheting for her family and friends. Eloise was also an avid reader who instilled the love of reading in her children and grandchildren.
