Eva J. Farmer, 87, of St. Regis Falls, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Following her wishes; there will be no public services. Private services will be held at the convenience of her family. Mrs. Farmer was born on August 2, 1928 in Dickinson Center, daughter of the late Henry and Sarah (LaPlante) Genaway and graduated from St. Regis Falls High School. On October 5, 1950, she married Gerald N. Farmer in St. Regis Falls. They shared a 57 year loving union until Gerald's passing on December 25, 2007. Eva created a loving home and helped provide for the family, working at Tru Stitch, Consolidated and Sun Valley. Her hobbies included dress making and crocheting. She took pride keeping her home neat and clean. She was proud of her family and they were the most important part of her life. She is survived by one son, Barry of St. Regis Falls, two grandchildren, Cherie and Norman R. Genaway, and one sister, Freida LaGray of North Bangor. She was predeceased by one son, Norman, three siblings, Mildred Richards, Donald Genaway and Marjorie Genaway. Memories and condolences can be shared with her family at www.hammillfh.com.
