Obituary of Della M. Kelley

St. Regis Falls - Della M. Kelley, 85, passed away Sunday evening, August 21, 2016 at the Alice Center in Malone. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Della was born in Malone on August 8, 1931, daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Winkle) Mushtare. She married Darwin Kelley on March 26, 1949 in St Regis Falls. He predeceased her on December 23, 1993. Della was a sewing machine operator at Tru Stitch in Malone and NatWear in Moira. Her favorite times were spent with her children and grandchildren. She liked taking trips with her senior friends, bingo, dancing and going to the casino. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilary in St. Regis Falls, the St. Regis Falls Sportsmen's Club and the Red Tavern Club. She is survived by her children, Sandra Potter and Wayne Kobiska of Springhill, FL, Dar Kelley of St. Regis Falls and Michael and Sue Kelley of Brushton; one sister, Dorothy Gonyea of St. Regis Falls and one brother, Harold Mushtare of St. Regis Falls; six grandchildren, Ronnie Martin, Tommy Kelley, Stacey Kelley, Darwin Kelley, Jolene Kelley and Darci Kelley; ten great grandchildren, Phoenix, Alex, Ave, Ronald, Marcus, Logan, Nathan, Haylee, Cameron and Lavarr. Visitation will be held Friday from 9 am to 12 noon at the funeral home with Della's Celebration Service to commence at noon, with Rev. Colin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of the North Country, Inc., 3909 St. Rt. 11, Malone, NY 12953.
