Obituary of Gloria J. LaMora

Gloria J. (Rockwood) LaMora, passed on July, 14, 2010 with her loving family by her side. Gloria was born April 30, 1935, in the town of Stockholm, NY. Daughter and only child of the late Bernard and Nellie (Brothers) Rockwood of Winthrop, NY. She is predeceased by husband, John P. LaMora Sr and son, Bernard. She is survived by her children: Paul (Linda) of Webster, NY, Christopher (Karen)of Marion, NY, Angus (Kathy )of Massena, NY, Timothy of Clinton MA, Sandra LaMora Klem of Webster, NY, Sue (Scott) Simms of Brasher Falls, NY, Michael (companion Amy Gasper)of Wolcott, NY, and John (companion Julie Black)of Ontario, NY. She was blessed with 31 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Gloria was a free-spirited, whimsical person who loved to travel. She enjoyed country music and anyone who knew her well loved her renditions of Patsy Cline. The family will welcome friends at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am at St Patrick Church in Brasher Falls. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
