Obituary of Cynthia V. Hogan

Winthrop- Mrs. Cynthia V. Hogan, 63 passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2016 at her home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Cynthia was born on September 4, 1953 in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Francis and Dorthea (Hastings) Spillane. She graduated from Manchester High School in Manchester, CT. She married Donald Hogan on July 28, 1973 in South Windsor, CT. Cynthia worked as a financial advisor for Primerica Financial Services based out of Potsdam and also milked for several dairy farms in the area. Faith and fellowship played an influential role in Cynthia’s life. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Massena and in Manchester, CT.; and very involved with teaching and mentoring 4H programs. She took pleasure in gardening, always enjoying it more with the help of her grandchildren. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Don, and their children: Mara and Roni Dias of Long Island, Garth and Tara Hogan of Plattsburgh, and Emily and Stan Dismuke of Nashville, TN., 5 grandchildren, and a brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Rachel Spillane of CT. In keeping with Cynthia’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to join a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Cynthia on, Tuesday November 22 at 11:00am at the Church of Christ in Massena. Flowers are gratefully declined.
