Faith was a cornerstone in Kathleen's life. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls and an active member of the Altar Rosary Society where she held various positions over the years.
Those who knew and loved Katie would describe her as a "people person", who was appreciative and proud of her friends and family. Eileen,
I'm sad to read about Katie, I saw her a few weeks ago and we had a nice conversation before I left for Florida. She was a lovely lady and Collins girl. I will say a prayer for her and you ,it is hard to lose a sibling.

My sympathy to Eileen and all of Kathleen's family. I shall never forget her kindness to me when I was in Brasher and really all through the years. Kathleen was one of the most generous and loving persons I've ever known. She was also lots of fun! I want to be at the funeral but doubt I can make it. Please know I would be there if it were possible. Know that you are all in my prayers. With my love, Sr. Brian M.

Katie Collins was a close cousin and life-long friend. Always a pleasure to meet, she was very well respected by many, many friends and associates. She will be missed by all.
Katie's mother, Anna Hammill, married Charles Collins (Anna's sister married Charles' brother). Katie's uncle, Michael T. Hammill, founded Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, NY. Those two Irish families were among the earliest Irish immigrants into Northern New York.
Katie was an elected official, serving for a decade as Brasher Town Clerk. Our North Country was blessed for having Katie Collins as one of its citizens. We wish to send our deepest condolences to all of Katie's family and friends. We share your loss.
Terry and Martha Hammill (Oswego, NY)
