Obituary of Deborah R Hahn
Massena- Deborah R. “Debi” Hahn, 61, peacefully passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love and support of her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Debi was born in Utica on April 9, 1955 to the late Albert and Jean (Rakowski) Majka. Debi graduated from New York Mills High School in 1973.
Over the years Debi was a customer service representative for various retail businesses. Most recently she was working at the Bon-Ton in Massena. In past years she was a very involved member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Waterville.
Debi was blessed with a kind and gentle nature, always being considerate for others. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting her would say that she is one of the kindest people you will ever meet.
She was fond of birds and especially her plants. Debi had a green thumb like no other that allowed her cacti from Texas to survive their transition to New York.
She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin Hahn of Fredonia, and Justin and Vanessa Hahn of Massena; a sister, Reggie DeMola of Liverpool; a brother, Michael Majka of Yorkville, and many dear friends.
In keeping with Debi’s wishes, there will be no services.
For those wishing to express an act of kindness, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to your local Humane Society.
