Sue and family, so sorry to hear of Harrys passing. He was quite a guy, always willing to help anyone who needed it. At the Lab, he was a dedicated employee, who I enjoyed working with.

Robin and I were both saddened to hear of Harry's passing. We hope you find solace in the time and memories you have of him. Over the years we have spent a fair amount of time with Harry. We enjoyed his wit and sense of humor. He always had many stories to tell, many of which left you either laughing or shaking your head. I also greatly respected him for his work ethic and used him as an example of such in many of my school classes. He truly enjoyed work, a definite rarity today. It always amazed me how intelligent he was, especially on matters pertaining to Social studies and local wildlife. I know it was a direct result of his passion for reading and his many life experiences. There were few topics that we discussed where Harry was not informed and had an opinion. It still makes me smile hearing him say, that while working at a gas station in Massena, a customer came in in the middle of winter complaining that "whoever told him spring water never freezes was a liar. why he put it in his radiator and it froze solid. You never knew what to expect out of his mouth. I also remember Harry once talking to me about an owl we heard at camp. Harry said,"why that's a Barred Owl," I said to Harry,"Come on how do you know that?" Harry replied, "It sounds like he is saying who cooks for you". I didn't know whether to believe him or if this was him pulling my leg. The next Monday at school I decided to look up a Barred owl on Wikipedia and I'll be, after talking about the bird and describing it. It said it can be recognized by its call which sounds very much like "who cooks for you" I will miss our conversations and camaraderie. We will both miss seeing him at hunting camp and around the sugarhouse in the spring. It has not been the same without him. He was one of the good ones and I'm glad I got to know him like Robin.
