Few people could take a difficult situation and end up having those involved laughing about it. To always see life on the sunny side is a gift that Norval shared with all he met. He had a good life and has left a lasting legacy to everyone. We will not forget.

To the family, I have known Norval for a long time back to when I was a kid playing baseball with the old WFD team. He has always been a Winthrop boy and involved with most everything that went on. In particular he was a good friend of my brother Harold & I remember when he was in his last days Norval visited him every day sometimes stopping several times a day and usually bringing him some little thing. He was a great boost to Harold during his illness and I will never forget his kindness. Please accept out sympathy and best wishes for you all. Clarence & Ida Mae Dunn

Norval was a kind and generous man. He worked with my Dad, Robert Pike, Sr. until he passed at an early age. I could safely say that the two were the best of friends. I will never forget his kindness to the Pike family after our Father's death. He checked up on us for many years following. I can still remember him sitting in my Father's recliner crying. That is only one example of the generosity of Norval's heart. I also fondly recall his sense of humor, he was a jewel, bright and shining. He stopped to our house one Halloween, dressed like a Mummy. Norval, if you are listening, please tell Jim (Blais) and my parents that we miss and love them. WE all will surely miss you.
