Dickinson Center - Cecil W. Cornish, 77, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017 at AHMC in Malone. Following his wishes; all services will be private. Arrangements area entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Cecil was born on November 9, 1930 in Potsdam, son of the late David and Norma (Morgan) Cornish. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He loved his vehicles and worked for many years at Dewsowitz in Potsdam, until he had to reitre to do illness. He married Mary Maxfield on December 21, 1985 in Lawrenceville with Justice Homer Stranger performing the ceremony. When he was able he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his own vehilces. He is survived by his wife, Mary, two children, Cecil and Jessica Maxfield of Dickinson Center and Jessica and Paul Dibble, Jr. of Brasher Falls, one grandson Chance Killian Michael Dibble and one brother, Ronald Cornish of St. Regis Falls.
