So sorry to hear about the passing of Pete Fiske. My family were neighbours/tenants of Pete and Lila in the late 50’s and early 60’s, renting a small piece of land for our trailer. As a teenager, Pete would hire me do some work on his poultry farm and mow the lawn. He was always friendly and helpful to me and my family. The last time I saw Pete was a few years ago and he had not changed except for a few more grey hairs. Lila had to get us something to eat so we could stay long enough to chat a while.

My heart felt condolences are sent to all of Mr. Fiske's family. I remember our two families were very close when I was growing up. Mr. Fiske was always

Pete was such a friendly and interesting guy. I loved to hear stories of all of he and Lila's exploits in agriculture. I will always remember him as a shepherd to look up to. I arrived at the farm one day when he was at least 80 and he and Lila were screwing plywood onto the ceiling of the barn. All I could think was I hope I can do that at 80, too!
He will be missed. My heart goes out to Lila.

Please accept our sincere sympathies, on Pete's passing. I remember, as a young Trooper, Fisky and I would stop by their house, to shoot the breeze sometimes. Pete was always smiling and joking about something. Those little barbs were normally directed at either Kevin or myself. Of course, Pete would force us to eat some of Lila's goodies that she had "hanging around"! Believe me, you never had to force either one of us to eat her cooking! Pete was a wonderful individual and I know his legacy will survive , for some time. My apologies for not attending the services. Nancy and I are currently wintering, in south Florida. I have a heavy heart knowing that I cannot attend. People always say, "If there is anything I can do", please know that I am expressing those same thoughts sincerely here. Love ya, Guys.

I am very sorry and saddened to hear of Pete's passing. I will always remember how much Pete helped me become the person I am today by hiring me as a teenager with little self confidence and trusting me to do things I never thought I could. I still remember being treated more like one of the family than a hired hand at the supper table. I will never forget Pete. I am thinking and praying for you Lila and for and your family.

Aunt Lila;
So sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Pete. I remember so fondly visiting your chicken coups and farm when I was younger. I think it was the first time I ever held a chicken or was able to find eggs. So much fun for one a youngster.
My thoughts and prayer are with you and the extended family.
Love Loretta

Mrs. Fiske, Kevin and the Fiske Family:
Lots of positive memories of your dad, grandfather and husband from the rink and stops at the farm with my dad to pick up eggs. I also remember a lot of phone conversations between the mailmen discussing the challenges of USPS policies. I had a chance to keep track of your dad in recent years when he stopped at the barbershop in Massena hoping to find Basil and get a haircut. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
